Let’s link arms on a mission to cultivate a more inclusive world for (and with) our children.

ABOUT MIGHTY KIND

Our Mission & Vision

Mighty Kind is dedicated to focusing on kindness and compassion as a foundation for anti-bias learning and conversations while aiming to provide platforms for diverse voices and underrepresented perspectives.

We aim to create opportunities for learners of all ages and stages to respectfully engage with authentic representations of modern cultures and historically marginalized communities, focus on their own personal betterment in character development and unpacking biases, and engage in actionable, impactful opportunities to empower each community member to tap into their natural capacity to love, take action, and learn, while finding joy in the journey.

True kindness is rooted in a deep understanding that people, no matter how different, are important and deserving of our respect and allyship. When we expand our understanding of the world around us, we can build bridges of empathy and break down barriers like fear and prejudice.

We envision a near-future in which we are all working together toward making the world a better place, one act of informed and intentional kindness at a time.

Our Guiding Principles

EDUCATE

Listening, learning, and unlearning is at the root of everything we do here.

We aim to do so by amplifying voices, messages, stories, and honest histories and providing opportunities for self-reflection, improved critical thinking, and safe conversation.

CELEBRATE

We will not shy away from the pain and suffering that is endured by our fellow human beings— historically or currently.

We will seek out opportunities to honor joy, achievement, and growth along the way.

EMPOWER

This is not a place for “shelf help” where learners come to consume and compartmentalize.

Action and advocacy are paramount to cultivating true community and being part of the solutions that will bring about change in the world.

REDISTRIBUTE

Not all content will be free as we believe in building a financially sustainable model to further invest in research and resource development.

Money earned from product sales, sponsorships, and partnerships are reinvested in partnerships with authentic experts from historically marginalized communities.

Our Charitable Giving Goals

We believe that the true power of any financial success can be measured by the amount of positive social impact it can make. Each quarter we select at least one non-profit organization to donate 10% of our profits. If you have a charitable organization you’d like for us to consider, please reach out via the Contact Page.

COMMUNITY CHATTER

STROLL DOWN MEMORY LANE

The Legacy Mighty Kind Magazine

Discontinued in 2021, each issue of the 64-page publication was full of illustrated stories, fun activities and actionable volunteer opportunities to empower kids to tap into their natural capacity to love and learn while having fun. The high-quality publication was geared toward children and the grown-ups who mentor them.

Content within it’s pages was designed to be evergreen and ever-relevant, so don’t hesitate to pick up a copy— there is still lots to learn alongside your child.

A massive THANK YOU to our incredible volunteer production staff, our commissioned writers, illustrators, artist, designers, and everyone who supported the Mighty Kind Magazine dream.
